Weekly lessons
TuesdaysTwo lessons are available at the Heights Community Center. A beginning lesson in six-count Jitterbug and a beginning/intermediate lesson in eight-count Lindy Hop and Charleston. Both lessons begin around 7:30 PM and go till 8:30 PM. The cost is $4 and includes admission to the dance from 7 - 10:30 PM. Click here for more information.
ThursdaysUNM's swing dance club holds free beginning and intermediate swing dance lessons every week in the Johnson Center dance room on the UNM campus. Lessons are free and begin at 8:30 PM. Learn east coast, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa and more! Free dance starts after the lesson at 9:30 PM. Email unmja@unm.edu for more information. Please note that lessons only take place during the Fall and Spring semesters.
SATURDAYS AT RHYTHMAlbuquerque's premiere Lindy Hop dance. Lesson from 7 - 8 PM dance from 8 - 11 PM at Rhythm dance lounge. Click here for more information.
WorkshopsThree to four times a year various professional instructors (from all over the world) come to Albuquerque to teach weekend long workshops. These workshops aim their instruction to all levels of dancers, from beginning to advantaged. Albuquerque workshops usually range from $50 - $100. Click here for information upcoming events.
